The Lector Ministry is responsible for Proclaiming the Word of God at our weekday and weekend Masses, as well as reading the opening greeting and the Prayers of the Faithful. Ideally, we prefer to have two lectors at each Mass: the first to do the opening greeting and the First Reading, and the second reading the Second Reading and the Prayers of the Faithful. Lectors are scheduled to read once every 2 to 6 weeks, depending on the weekend Mass.

If you join our ministry, one of our lectors will provide training after a Mass (about 30 minutes). For your first Masses as a Lector, you will be paired with an experienced lector to support you, and then scheduled into a regular rotation.
