An Update on the Expansion Plans for St Isidore Church

The Expansion Task Force wishes to keep you posted on the plans for expansion of our beautiful 120 year old St. Isidore Church on March Road, Kanata.

• Expansion concept is close to being finalized by Ralph Vandenberg Architect Inc., with an increased capacity of close to 900 (recommendation of the Archdiocese of Ottawa).
• Cost of the expansion has been estimated at $7.1 million.
• Due to the size of this project, the Expansion Task Force agreed to hire a professional ~ experienced in church-related fundraising and campaign management to complete a feasibility study this Spring to confirm the ability of our parish community to meet this goal. Proposals from two firms are currently being evaluated. Selection of the successful firm is scheduled for April. The expectation would be to launch a fundraising campaign in the Fall of 2007.

Your contributions to date have been greatly appreciated. One hundred percent of all donations clearly marked for the Expansion Fund are set aside for the growth project.
