Like everyone at this time of year, we too have a wish list. We wish we were able to seat everyone together in a comfortable, family-friendly church to celebrate our Christmas liturgy. That day is coming!
We are happy to report that great progress has been made toward providing our parish family with a new worship space. On Dec. 2, parishioners voted to take-down the 120 year old structure and build a new church. That major and emotional decision was very difficult to make and took several years of planning and investigating. In the end, it made wise financial sense!
Now we can focus on the task-at-hand and work together to raise the required $3.5 million ~ less than half the cost of expanding the old church. A major fundraising campaign will soon to be launched to enable us to build our dream. Conceptual plans (below) include use of preserved stained glass windows, the remarkable steeple and bell, and some of the old stone. Watch for more plan updates at http://stisidorekanata.com/
Thoughtfully embrace our goal to raise the funds quickly so as not to incur large or long-term debt and before costs-to-build increase. A volunteer will be calling on you to make a one-time donation or a 3-5 year pledge to support the building of a new well-designed church. Monies allocated for the building project are not taxed by the Archdiocese and are payable to St. Isidore Building Fund.
Tax receipts will be issued for gifts over $20. or your donation will be added to your annual contribution if you are a registered parishioner. Parish Census (registration) Forms are available at the back of the church/gym. Please help us to update our parish records by providing your coordinates.
Quite simply ~ the sooner the money is raised - the sooner we can all be seated together in a real church for Christmas and all other faith-based occasions.

The St. Isidore Expansion Task Force & Fundraising Committee Wish You a Blessed Christmas:
